New Health & Fitness Manager

Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa has appointed Megan Symons as its new Health & Fitness Club Manager. Megan joins the team bringing with her vast experience in personal training and a passion for fitness generally, including an impressive previous career in gymnastics spanning eleven years.

Having formerly managed a popular health club in nearby Bury St Edmunds, Megan has significant knowledge of the local leisure community. Commenting on for her new role Megan said: “Aside from the perks of being part of a beautiful local Hotel, I was initially attracted to the role at the Health & Fitness club due to its friendly nature and sense of community, something you don’t get from the bigger gyms. The facilities are fantastic, and I have been inspired to introduce a few updates too. ”

With a huge passion for sport and exercise, Megan spent eleven years training and competing as a gymnast, but unfortunately had to leave the sport due to injury. “When I retired from gymnastics, I wanted to turn my focus to helping others achieve their goals, and so trained for my personal training qualification, and soon achieved my Diploma too. For the past three years, I have been practicing Crossfit in my spare time as it is a natural progression from gymnastics. Watch this space – I have just begun competing!”

Noel Byrne, Chief Executive at Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, said: “Megan is a great addition to our Health and Fitness Club team, her enthusiasm is contagious and passion for fitness is a joy to see, we’re sure it will rub off on our guests as well! The team is looking forward to learning and working alongside her, and her bright ideas are going to help us make our Club the best it can be.”
