Afternoon tea is something Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa holds close to our heart. After all, Anna Marie, the wife of the seventh Duke of Bedford and former resident of the original hunting lodge is credited with the creation of afternoon tea!
Generally afternoon tea is geared toward a female party. However, the Roxana bar has taken inspiration from the classic Gentleman’s clubs and created a tea with a masculine twist.
In keeping with the menu’s dedication to all things British, a selection of all time favourites including finger sandwiches, lemon loaf slice will be served alongside hearty newmarket sausage roll, fresh baked mini pasty and hearty prawn & rosti potato shell, together with a beer, bitter or cyder.
With the bar’s relaxed yet sophisticated setting, the Gentleman’s afternoon tea is the perfect location for the man about town to entertain guests or simply while away the hours with a newspaper, game of poker or backgammon.
