A £300,000 investment project has been announced at Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa. The refurbishment will focus mainly on the main conferencing room of the hotel, The Classics Suite.
The upgrades will bring the room, which holds up to 180 guests, completely up to date with all new audio and video equipment as well as a complete aesthetic overhaul. Work will begin on the 13th of October and will be completed by the 18th of November, just in time for use over the festive season.
This renovation is another milestone for the stylish hotel, on the heels of the addition of a £3.3 Million luxury destination Spa in 2013 and the addition of a Dance Studio and complete refurbishment of The Edge Health and Fitness Club.
Chief Executive, Noel Byrne has overseen the refurbishment process personally along with the Kean family who own the property, from inception to concept, to design. He will also personally supervise the construction.
“We are delighted to announce these major refurbishment plans and look forward to welcoming our Christmas guests, conference and wedding guests into a completely modern and updated space.” said Noel. “We are the only 4-star hotel in Newmarket and feel this significant investment will continue to make us the Suffolk destination for Weddings and Conferences.”
The Entrance to the Classics suite, the Classics Bar will be completely rebuilt and refurnished in order to make use of the natural light. All furniture will be replaced with stylish chairs and loungers. The walls will be completely refinished and covered with black and white sketchings of racing inspired scenes.
The meeting room itself will be gutted from ceiling to floor, with back lighted ceiling coffers and large, modern crystal chandeliers. Remote controlled spotlights will be installed which can be completely customized to set any mood and a large, modern mural will adorn the back wall.
The AV system will be completely upgraded to include Bose speakers throughout, projectors will be ceiling mounted for effortless presentations.
